What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy that uses non-invasive manipulation to create movement throughout the body. Decreasing restriction in motion will remove obstruction to the flow of the blood, venous drainage, lymphatic drainage and nervous structures. This in turn will allow the body to aid itself in the healing process and decrease pain.
The osteopathic manual practitioner searches for the cause of disease or discomfort rather than focusing on symptomology. Each treatment will differ, as every day habits and activities will create new postures and positions.
